SPECIAL Town Board Meeting Minutes (Un-approved)

CALL TO ORDER:

Supervisor Davis called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

 

RESOLUTION 22 OF 2024 STANDARD WORKDAY AND REPORTING RESOLUTION

Supervisor Davis explained the calculation error for the Standard Work Day Hours for Phil Amway and Carol Huber on the Resolution that was passed at the Board Meeting on June 5. The Standard Work Day hours should be a 6 and not 7.5 for them. A motion was made by Councilman Lamb and Seconded by Councilman Smith to make the change and replace Resolution 22 with Resolution 26 of 2024. All were in Favor.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town of Vienna hereby establishes the following as standard work days for elected and appointed officials and will report the following days worked to the New York State and Local Employees’ Retirement System based on the record of activities maintained and submitted by these officials to the clerk of this body. Dated June, 5 2024.

RESOLUTION 13 OF 2024 PAID HOLIDAYS

Supervisor Davis explained how closing on Fridays and the Change of the voting place has affected the Holiday Pay Schedule, and they will look over the Resolution for possible changes of days and wording.

 

Cyber Security

Supervisor Davis mentioned about some phishing scams happening at the Town Hall and decided to use BondarTech for assistance because phishing scams are more sophisticated than just spam. The cost will be $8 per all email accounts per year, which will also include AI on line training through Ironscales software program.

 

PUBLIC COMMENTS/CONCERNS:

Richard Mansfield asked about Juneteenth being included in the Holiday Resolution, which the answer was yes.

Mike Piper asked about the process of Planning Board applications, which Supervisor Davis replied that the Planning Board would interview potential candidates and then send the recommendations to the Town Board, then the Town Board will appoint.

Councilman Lamb made a motion to end the Board Meeting at 6:15, seconded by Councilman Smith and all were in favor.
