A motion was made to accept the bid from Helmers Complete Tree Service for $21,400.00. Highway Supervisor Clayton Conover Jr. reported that they installed 4 speed humps on Lower Lake Road and when retrieving information from the speed signs, it showed the overall speed has been lower. A motion to spend up to $500 for one more speed hump passed. New truck will be here in December. July 22nd rabies clinic at the garage from 5:00-6:30 pm. A motion was made to pay $2000 towards fireworks. Sylvan Beach is installing a digital sign South side of the Troopers Barracks along Rt. 13.
A motion was made to accept the cost of the phishing scam security and seconded by Councilman Lamb. Water Extension: Paperwork will be ready for people to view. Cell Tower: Paperwork was submitted to codes for Permit and was denied. It will be submitted to the ZBA.
Beach Road/Beaver Dam: A Beaver Dam broke and flooded Beach Road and caused sewer and water damage. There is water crossing the road again and washed out the side of road. Supervisor Davis explained that DEC could issue a permit to land owner to remove Beaver. Cove Road: Residents complaining about vehicles speeding going to Boat Launch. A motion was made to lower the speed limit to 25 mph. Resolution 13 of 2024 Holiday for Town of Vienna Officials: Because the Town Hall is no longer the Voting place, the Town Hall no longer needs to be closed on those days.
Highway IT Proposal: presentation showing the IT project costs of $34,275.60 which will be paid for with ARPA funds and then a monthly support and maintenance cost of $324.
A motion was made to accept the cost of the IT Project with BondarTech for the Highway Garage.
Highway Supervisor Clayton Conover asked about software to help with inventory. A motion was made to purchase the program.
