Local Law No. 2 of 2021 Provides for the Rescheduling of the Date for the Hearing of Complaints by the Board of Assessment Review (Grievance Board).

Be it enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Vienna as follows:

Section 1. Title

This Local Law shall be referred to as the “Local Law Establishing the Rescheduling of the Date for the Hearing of Complaints by the Board of Assessment Review (Grievance Board)”.

Section 2. Purpose and Intent

The purpose of this Local Law is to establish The Town of Vienna utilizes a Sole Appointed Assessor. The Sole appointed Assessor will be unable to attend the hearing of complaints by the Board of Assessment Review on the date prescribed by New York State Real Property Tax Law, Section 512 (1-a). The Intent of the Local Law is to set the Date for the hearing of complaints by the Town of Vienna Board of Assessment Review which will be held on the First Thursday after the Fourth Tuesday in May.

Section 3. Application

This Local Law shall supersede in its application to the Town of Vienna, Section 512 (1-a) of the New York State Real Property Tax Law.

Section 4. Effective Date

This Local Law shall take effect immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State in accordance with Section 27 of the Municipal Home Rule Law.
